Before leaving home, the patient may prepare a list of questions regarding Botox treatments, including how it works, potential side effects, and expected results that can be discussed during the consultation. An appointment confirmation is sent to the patient 48 hours before the appointment.

Arrival at SanctuaireMD:

On the day of the consultation, the patient arrives at SanctuaireMD a few minutes early to allow time for check-in. The patient may need to fill out new patient forms or paperwork upon arrival if they have not done it online.

Consultation with the Provider:

The patient meets with the Botox provider, who may be a nurse practitioner or a registered nurse. During the consultation, the provider listens to the patient’s concerns, discusses their treatment goals, and evaluates their facial anatomy to determine the most appropriate treatment.

The provider explains how Botox works, the expected results, any potential risks or side effects, and answers any questions the patient may have. If the patient decides to proceed with Botox treatment during the consultation, the provider may offer to perform the treatment that same day, depending on availability and the patient’s preferences.

Consent and Pricing:

Before administering Botox, the provider reviews the treatment plan with the patient, including the areas to be treated, the number of units needed, and the total cost.
The patient signs a consent form acknowledging their understanding of the treatment and its potential risks. The medspa staff provides pricing information and discusses payment options with the patient.

Appointment Reminder:

An appointment reminder via email or SMS is sent twice, 48 and 24 hours closer to the scheduled date. This reminder will include the date, time, and location of the appointment.

Deposit and Payment:

We require a $50 deposit or a valid credit card on file to secure the appointment. Our staff will inform patients of deposit requirements and payment options when someone wants to schedule an appointment.

Forms and Consent:

Before the appointment, patients need to sign consent forms outlining the risks and benefits of Botox treatment. These forms can typically be filled out ahead of time online at home or completed at our office before the treatment.

Introductory Pricing:

Our office occassionally provides introductory pricing or special promotions for first-time patients. We also offer memberships, Botox Banks( pre-paid), and packages

Determining Botox Amount:

The amount of Botox someone needs depends on various factors, including the areas being treated and individual muscle strength. During your consultation, our provider will assess the  needs and recommend the appropriate amount of Botox for optimal results.

Consulting Your Doctor:

While it’s not always necessary to consult your primary care physician before getting Botox, it can be beneficial if you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns. Feel free to discuss this with our provider during your consultation.

Duration of Treatment:

The actual Botox treatment typically takes around 10-15 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated and the amount of Botox needed.

Recovery Time:

There is minimal downtime associated with Botox treatment. Some may experience mild redness or swelling at the injection sites, but this usually resolves within a few hours to a day. Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Arrival Time:

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for check-in and any necessary paperwork.

Provider:

Your Botox treatment will be administered by one of our experienced providers, who may be a nurse practitioner or registered nurse. Rest assured that all our providers are trained and qualified to perform Botox injections safely and effectively.

Eating After Treatment:

There are no specific dietary restrictions after Botox treatment, so you can eat normally afterward. However, it’s best to avoid consuming alcohol or engaging in strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day to minimize the risk of bruising or swelling.

Recovery Phase:

During the recovery phase, it’s important to avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas to prevent the spread of the Botox to unintended muscles. Additionally, avoid lying down flat for at least 4 hours after treatment and refrain from applying makeup or skincare products to the treated areas for the rest of the day.

Post-Treatment Complications:
